Hello!

Oliver Sunday is a freelance sound technician and stage manager with a focus on eco-conscious theatre within the arts industry, in both his practice and others. He began this work in 2021 with Climate Live UK, a leading eco and events charity, and has since worked in theatres and events around the world. His sound work has taken him to Leeds Festival and Boomtown, as well as acting as Sound 1 and 2 in musicals and theatre. He can currently be found at the New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich as their lead sound technician, as well as events across East Anglia and London.

Oliver’s climate action is furthered by his work in the queer community, and the understanding that climate justice is fundamentally linked with intersectionality and robust economic policy. His stage management is upheld by these values, and he strives to create an inclusive and aware environment in his workspaces.

Oliver is a proud alumni of Levelling the Field, a program meant to provide access to disabled and neurodivergent creatives in backstage roles, where he gained experience in event stage management and artist liaison, as well as sound work and accessibility consulting. He looks forward to doing more of this in the future!
